Oishi Kuranosuke
Oishi Kuranosuke is very famous for his loyalty to his master Baron Asano. A well known story Chushin Gura which was based from a true incident in his life. Baron Asano had a feud with one of the Shogun's chief's of protocol Kira Kozunosuke. Baron Asano drew his sword and attacked Kira in the Shogun's palace. The next day, Baron Asano was told to commit seppuku. Oishi was able to exact revenge on Kira. The following year Genroku (1701) December 14th, Oishi Kuranosuke and fourty six other samurai stormed into Kira's home and killed him. Kira was then decapitated his head was then placed on Baron Asano's grave site. After that Oishi and the other fourty six samurai surrendered to the authorities. On Feburary fourth 1703 they all were ordered to commit seppuku and proceeded to do so. Oishi Kuransuke died at the age of 45 years old. The hamon is Gunome-choji by Bizen Osafune Kiyomitsu.
