Goro Nyudo Masamune
(Late Kamakura period - Mid-Nanbokucho period)
A disciple of Shinto Go Kunimitsu, and also known as Goro Nyudo Koumitsushi. He was perceive as one of the best swordsmith toward the end of the Kamakura Era (1288-1337). Their is no doubt that his work was indeed remarkable and he came to be acknowledge as a master swordsmith. In the Nanbokucho period his name had always been associated among the top swordsmiths of the time as well as now. Most of his blades had the Notare pattern ( a gentle waving pattern) mixed with the Gunome pattern.
